Nenad Šaljić (born 1961, Croatia) is a visual artist best known for his photography. He lives and works between Zermatt and Split.
Since 1970, he has lived and studied in Split, Croatia, where he earned a PhD in Economics. Following a period of university teaching and a successful business career, he fully dedicated himself to fine art photography in 2007.
His projects include five artist books: Matterhorn: Portrait of a Mountain (2015), Birth of a Ship (2017), Void (a two-volume box set, 2019), DeVoid (2020), and MATTERHORN II (2022).
His work has received numerous prestigious awards and has been exhibited internationally, with works held in major public and private collections. His photograph of the Matterhorn was featured in Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Fall/Winter 2013/14 collection, and his Void series inspired the 2013/14 collection by the Australian fashion brand Saxony.
Šaljić is represented by Kunsträume – The Heinz Julen Art Gallery, Zermatt and Kranjčar Gallery, Zagreb.
